Snowflakes and Sparkles...

Today was an example of where I get frustrated that my photography skills are unable to capture what my eyes were perceiving! Glistening is the sun as I arrived this morning, my window was a magical sight. Hand crocheted snowflakes slowly twirled in the draughts and rays of sunlight bounced of faceted mercury glass like twinkling fairy lights. Antique hymn books generously lent to me by one of my beautiful customers complete the story for a peaceful and simple Christmas vignette....

And just a note to say that opening hours have extended to 5.30pm again Mon - Fri to make it convenient for those who work to get in a little Christmas shopping...

Monday - Friday... 10am -5.30pm

Saturday & Sunday... 10am- 4pm

They actually coordinate with 4 of my favourite candles which is a first for Glasshouse! You can now create a complete story with a candle, soap, hand and body lotion and diffuser...The perfect gift for the person that has everything!

A dream come true...

On Wednesday my "forever" dream came to fruition! Nest was featured in a magazine!!!! And not just any magazine but THE magazine that I have perused over for years on end! I think my feature in the mag was made even more special as I got to share the excitement with other fellow Tasmanians. The cover picture was actually taken at "Killiecrankie Farm", the lovely home of Lee Adamson Ringk and her family. At Killiecrankie they actually grow Christmas trees!...How magical for her children to live year round amongst Christmas trees!! Lee was practically one of the first followers of my blog, so I feel like she has been there since the start! You can also find Lee's blog here...

On the cover also, adorning that beautiful tree, {alongside Lees amazing crocheted decorations} are the lovely tags/decs of gorgeous Ness of Marley & Lockyer. Marley & Lockyer treasures can now be found at Nest! {If you scroll back through my blog you will see a recent post about Ness } ...so now you see why I was so excited to be sharing this moment with them!

I would very much like to thank Hilary Burden for finding my little Nest and capturing it's true essence in her beautiful words. Thank you to the gorgeous Sharyn Cairns for beautiful pics and making me feel so comfortable {I hate having my photo taken!}. Thank you to Country Style for giving me this opportunity and special big hugs to all of you that read this...Your support is what has made my time at Nest one of the most incredible experiences of my life... it really has been my biggest dream come true xxx

Every little bit helps....

Recently I posted about these gorgeous bibs I have here at Nest...Behind the label RED {relish every day}, is a lovely generous lady named Caroline. I just wanted to reveal that ALL of the profits that Caroline makes from her wares she sends to the Philippines to a place called "The Centre of Change". The founder and director of this centre is a Christian lady named Margaret Pashley. Margaret rescues street kids and gives them hope for a brighter future. Caroline informs me that money she received last time from my purchase was used to buy sporting and play equipment...How cool is that!

I have just received some more lovely RED bibs {the fabrics are just BEAUTIFUL!} and they would make the perfect gift for a new little person in your life {helping another not so fortunate child in the process} ...

Marley & Lockyer

Christmas goodies are rolling in the door in a steady stream and none are more lovely than these gorgeous creations by Ness, the talented lady behind the label "Marley & Lockyer". Made of white earthenware clay, the little tags could be used to embellish your Chrissie gifts this year or strung to adorn your tree....Other treasures include brooches and pendants in the shapes of birds, owls and my all time favourite symbol "&"....

..."&" just for a little bit of fun, you have to love the eye chart tags! { note cards underneath handmade by Misiu}...Maybe you have an optometrist in the family? Perfect!!...
