Jacqueline Evans Naturopathic Skin Care...

I am incredibly excited to introduce you to Jacqueline Evans naturopathic skin care!  After years of being an ostrich, preferring to hide my head in the sand and ignore the warnings of the many dangers of conventional products and the chemicals they contain, I am ready to face the music and take responsibility to make wiser choices for the sake of my own health and my family's.  I'm hoping to  be able to share my insights over time with you as well...

It really is quite frightening to read some of the information I've been uncovering! For example, were you aware that some chemicals found in body products, once absorbed can mimic oestrogen in the body which may contribute to hormone imbalance?? This can lead to weight gain, acne, menstrual irregularities and even mood disorders???? Pretty scary!!

A good rule of thumb is if you can't eat it, why put it on the largest, most absorbent organ of the body?

Jacqueline Evans is a high quality, certified organic, natural skincare range for the use of both women and men. Yes fellas! No excuses these days not to be looking after your skin! It contains no harsh or detrimental chemicals and is rich in antioxidants {those wonderful ingredients that help to fight off the nasties!}

I have been using this range for a little while myself and I adore it! In all honesty, I think I'm in love with the   peace of mind  I also  feel whilst using it. It puts a whole new meaning to that "Clean" skin feeling!!

Snail Mail ...

Lots of little bits and pieces that can be put together to create the most awesome gift of stationery.
I have had a life long love of papery things and as I've always been an advocate...here's to bringing back handwritten notes and letters before our children don't know how to! I had a teenage son the other day ask me where he should put an address on an envelope! EEEEK!! What a terrible mother I am! But I guess there is no teaching of that at school anymore either now that we are in the computer age?? How sad to deny our kids the joy of receiving a handwritten letter in the mail {other than a bill!} or a beautiful penned note under your pillow when your husband is going on a business trip...So much more lovely than a text....But I guess that is a sign of the times.
I however have an aspiration, and I will continue to claw  myself back to a much simpler life...even if it is by just one piece of handwritten paper at a time...

Natalie...Naturally....

The last couple of months I have been "spring cleaning"! Not in the conventional sense however of household chores but in turning my awareness to the toxins I am putting both into and on my body. The bathroom cupboard hence has under gone a massive clean out!

My working life at the age of 15 saw my path directed to beauty therapy. After seven years in this industry however I became a little disillusioned and sceptical about the products that I was selling and hence went right away from my interest in the formulation of skincare products until now!

I'm very excited to let you know that I am actually in the process of acquiring  an organic skincare range for Nest ! This is something that I will share with you in the coming weeks when it arrives! I'll also be sure to share with you the many interesting discoveries I have unearthed in my aspiration to be chemical free!! Exciting times ahead! :)

Winter Holidays!

Next week {starting the 17th June} the time has come around again for my annual holiday!  For every Winter I made a pact with  my husband and myself that I would close Nest for a week so that we could spend some quality time with each other. No exotic holidays this year however as we are just about to embark on building a house! None the less, we will have a lovely week with each other I'm certain and I'm guessing it may be more restful than if we actually went away :) It will just be nice to laze around the house with no particular agenda. I may even have the opportunity to do a few things that are just not part of  my normal routine! Such as.....

 Sleeping in...

 Catching up on reading...

Possibly doing some baking?...

Hanging out at the local haunts...

Going on a road trip...

Meeting up with friends...

Maybe even thinking about where to go on next years holiday...:)
