Dear little birds...Oh dear....

Today, I'm sitting here feeling a little sad.....I was so excited! I had a pair of little swallows busily working the last week or so creating a home under my awning..They were nesting at Nest !...However, late yesterday afternoon, just after I had taken these photos that I was going to use in a post to celebrate the arrival of my new little family, something caught my eye....

.....it was the little mud construction as it went crashing to the ground :(

These photos show the little entwined soft spot I managed to salvage off the path.
So much effort put in to be gone in a second......
One thing I feel grateful for is that there wasn't already a little family residing there...
Fly away birdies...I think you need a safer place to nest......

Bursting to Share!!

Yesterday a young lady came into my store, looked around for a while and turned to me with the biggest grin and said, "Everywhere I look, your shop makes me smile".........That was the biggest compliment I could ever receive..Lets me know I'm doing my job right :)..Lovin my little Nest x

Bright "Bowls" of Fluff!

As you know, I'm in love with a lot of things :)...but these, I'm REALLY in love with!!! These beautiful bowls have been felted (by my request) by a very clever lady named Tish....They feel so soft and tactile and are perfect for placing all those fiddly, scratchy bits that can easily damage precious furniture pieces....Perfect home for the keys!..

The first set Tish made me didn't even make it off the counter! A lovely lady bought them to use as stacking cups for a toddler...How special is that! A gift that can then continue with a useful purpose into adulthood.

This one has come about after a conversation I had with one of my gorgeous customers last weekend who comically told me the story of her attempt to make her ' fat sparrow', she named Princeton!...It got me to thinking, I'd love to see the end results of these little craft projects! Nest Hearts a Beautiful Brooch
