A spring in my step!

This week has been incredibly exciting! The highlight being "Country Style" magazine was here on Tuesday doing a photo shoot for one of their up and coming issues!!! I have been a long time reader of this magazine and I am so thrilled that Nest is going to one day soon be gracing their pages!!! Not sure when as yet, however be rest assured you will definitely know! :)

Footy Fever!

As you a probably guessing, a "footy" styled window is not something that you typically see at Nest...However, our Penguin Blues are in the Grand final this weekend and the whole town is behind them! Go boys!! Wishing you all the best for Saturday and then I can put a "W" in front of the "IN"!

.... and thank you to my boys for allowing me to borrow their footy gear. You don't know how difficult it was getting that beanie off middle son's head! It has been a huge sacrifice for him and I promise you Jacob you can have it back for Saturday {:)}....GO BLUES!!!!

Belle Bird

I put many hours into researching for new things and contacting people in that constant effort to keep things new and interesting within Nest...Every now and then someone amazing approaches me and it is with great delight that I introduce Belle Bird...The gorgeous creator behind this beautiful label is Heather Shennan... Her work sits perfectly at Nest and I'm in LOVE with the collection of embroidery hoops that she has made....

With my current obsession with deers, I wonder how long I can't resist taking this little baby home... :)

Little Black Crow...

A little while ago I met a lovely, artistic girl at a Hobart market...Her name was Grace Garton and I instantly fell in love with one of her gorgeous, whimsical little sculptures so much so that I had to buy it. Last week whilst in Hobart I was fortunate to come across Grace again at the "Nook Market". This time I just had to share her work with you and bring some home to Nest..

These beautiful, fabric brooches are handmade "works of art". Created using an old vintage sewing machine I find these little faces full of personality... and whats more, no two are the same.

Spring Sunday in Penguin! .....

This Sunday bring Dad for a drive for Fathers Day to beautiful Penguin! Kicking off around 10am, we will be celebrating a "Spring Sunday" at "The Paris end of Penguin" {:)}...There will be food, wine and song! Plenty of activities for the kiddies with a jumping castle, face painting, fire brigade demo, sausage sizzle and market style stalls to be located undercover in the old Browns building between the Butchers and Curly Sues Salon.

Come and meet some of my lovely suppliers and have a fossick through the Nest clearance table {with most items being up to 50% off!} Yes, this weather inspires me!! Get rid of the old to make way for the new! And believe me with the fun I have had this week there is plenty of that to come!.....
