Our holiday was wonderful! Daylesford ticked the boxes in every way however, if I can make one suggestion...If you wish to shop, do not go mid week as everything is closed! I had to be content with peering through windows as I longed to step inside the likes of "Lark" and "Quirky Hollows"...*sigh* Needless to say though the sleepy mid week life of Daylesford forced us to completely relax and we were compelled {! yeah right } to enjoy the cafe culture instead.... :)
This is where we stayed...
This is where we ate...
Ego's culinaria...These guys win the "friendly" service award! Beautiful Chai, lovely music and smiley people......

Red Star Cafe!!....Best risotto, BEST hot chocolate, cosy wood fire...
And the highlight of the trip? So as not to bore you I shall save that for another day...:)
Stay warm xx
So glad you had a great time - it is such an amazing place! Ruby's looks awesome - will have to remember that for next time - I am keen to make an annual winter pilgrimage there!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVED Frangos too :)
Oh beautiful! I hop you went to beer and breakfast. I love Dalesford!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you visited some beautiful spots :) I've always wanted to visit daylesford ever since I saw an article on the area in Country Living magazine. Shame that you couldn't call into Lark! But I guess you can always shop online ;)
