Perfect start to the day....

As time goes on, I'm realising it's little things, such as the ritual of a cup of tea, that give me the greatest joy. I have recently discovered a gorgeous cafe that has me leaving in a state of peaceful bliss. For this reason I wish to share it with you...

In the chaos of getting six children out of the house , a son learning to drive demanding a lesson that really takes at least half an hour out of my morning routine, the discovery of the "Secret Buddha" at West Park Grove in Burnie has been  a wonderful find...

Cosied on the couch in front of the fire, some of my favourite mags layed before me on the coffee table, a  beautiful japanese iron pot of steaming Chai served on a wooden tray instantly had me in the comfort zone....What a decadent 20 mins of "me" time amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

So for now I will let my son believe that I'm doing him a great service allowing him to drive to school....but we will all know the pleasure will be all mine :)

Be gentle on ourselves....

Who would have thought that blogging about my little "Nest" would have me making front page news on our local Advocate! Far from a "cover girl", but wonderful exposure for Nest! :)

Georgia Fox....

Whilst in Bangalow, my aim was to find treasure! Beautiful new wares that I could add to the forever growing collection at Nest. Whilst perusing a local and lovely hand-made and collectibles market called" Sew & Mend", the first stall in the door I discovered Georgia! I fell in love with her darling range of onesies and singlets featuring an "old school" tattoo design! Perfect for little boys {probably more so}, this range is screenprinted on to sweatshop free, organic cotton.

Sadly Georgia was having a selling out sale as she was about to start, {in her words :)} a "real" job...On the flip side for me however, I was able to score these gorgeous items at bargain price! Bargains I am happy to pass on to all of you!

 Also in her range, card packs featuring {the very trendy} tattoo designs, and single cards in a variety of simple, colorful and quirky designs...

So pop in soon if you love these as much as I do because once they are gone... they are gone!

Beautiful Bangalow!

A recent break away saw my husband and I visiting a gorgeous little town in NSW called Bangalow {15mins up the road and inland from Byron Bay}. It really is a beautiful place that reminds me very much of home aside from the fact that every now again you would drive past a banana plantation or a glorious garden full  of palm trees. And the Queenslander style homes! How I do love them! We actually stayed in a beautiful one which I will be sure to share with you soon.

This place below  however, had me in "collectors" heaven! I immediately wanted to move here so that I could adorn my home with stuff!!!! Everything that I adore, it appeared, was here all under one roof! And not to say, spilling out the doors as well!

Summer Elk.....I've seen it!!!

Well as you all know I headed up to Launceston on Wed to view the Summer collection! It was lovely to finally meet the girls in person {I've been talking to Nid on the phone for years!} and to be able to "play" with the new range to come. I fell in love within minutes! Not to mention the colour palate included my favourite greens and blues!
