Coconut Oil...It's Amazing!!!!
Whilst I've been travelling on my path to a healthier lifestyle, I have found my new best friend....Coconut Oil!!! And what an amazing substance I'm discovering this oil to be!
In actual fact, a gorgeous and much wiser friend than I, told me about coconut oil during one of our lengthy conversations a few years ago. All I remember hearing was the fact that coconut oil was the only oil that retains its properties once heated. Oh how I wish that I had taken more interest in this subject as I really have been missing out all these years!!
Coconut oil is said to be the healthiest of all oils and can play a huge part in attaining a chemical free skincare routine. Here are just a few of the reasons coconut oil needs to become part of your life...
* coconut oil is the only oil that once introduced to heat does not turn rancid and oxidize. {Yes! Even olive oil does!}This means that is suitable for cooking at high temperatures.`
*It can help to maintain your weight! Coconut oil is rich with medium-chain fatty acids that are effective in shedding weight. Furthermore it aids in speeding up your metabolism so that you are able to burn more fat and calories
*It boosts your immune system as well as enhancing the healing process. Coconut oil is anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal and can aid in the likes of candida, urinary tract infections and the flu to name just a few!
* It can be used as a skin cleanser, a body moisturiser, a hair conditioner etc.......It really is AMAZING!!
If you wish to find more uses for Coconut oil there is a wealth of info on the Internet. If I was to tell you all the benefits, this post would be become a book!
As part of my "Skin-food" dispensary that I am collating within Nest, Coconut Oil HAD to be on the shelf!! If there is one product I desperately wanted to share with you, then this is it !! Come in today and let me introduce you...:)

Jacqueline Evans Naturopathic Skin Care...
I am incredibly excited to introduce you to Jacqueline Evans naturopathic skin care! After years of being an ostrich, preferring to hide my head in the sand and ignore the warnings of the many dangers of conventional products and the chemicals they contain, I am ready to face the music and take responsibility to make wiser choices for the sake of my own health and my family's. I'm hoping to be able to share my insights over time with you as well...
It really is quite frightening to read some of the information I've been uncovering! For example, were you aware that some chemicals found in body products, once absorbed can mimic oestrogen in the body which may contribute to hormone imbalance?? This can lead to weight gain, acne, menstrual irregularities and even mood disorders???? Pretty scary!!
A good rule of thumb is if you can't eat it, why put it on the largest, most absorbent organ of the body?
Jacqueline Evans is a high quality, certified organic, natural skincare range for the use of both women and men. Yes fellas! No excuses these days not to be looking after your skin! It contains no harsh or detrimental chemicals and is rich in antioxidants {those wonderful ingredients that help to fight off the nasties!}
I have been using this range for a little while myself and I adore it! In all honesty, I think I'm in love with the peace of mind I also feel whilst using it. It puts a whole new meaning to that "Clean" skin feeling!!

Snail Mail ...
Lots of little bits and pieces that can be put together to create the most awesome gift of stationery.
I have had a life long love of papery things and as I've always been an advocate...here's to bringing back handwritten notes and letters before our children don't know how to! I had a teenage son the other day ask me where he should put an address on an envelope! EEEEK!! What a terrible mother I am! But I guess there is no teaching of that at school anymore either now that we are in the computer age?? How sad to deny our kids the joy of receiving a handwritten letter in the mail {other than a bill!} or a beautiful penned note under your pillow when your husband is going on a business trip...So much more lovely than a text....But I guess that is a sign of the times.
I however have an aspiration, and I will continue to claw myself back to a much simpler life...even if it is by just one piece of handwritten paper at a time...
